We are pleased to announce our next workshop with Alexander Zimin in the Greater Seattle Area. Please join us and use this rare opportunity to study with a professional Russian artist.
Alexander will share his approach to oil painting and explain the stages of his work. A morning demo will be followed by individual instruction at your easel.
All levels of students are welcome. Experience in working with oil paints is required. Class size is limited to 10 students. Workshop hours: 10 am – 5 pm.

Paint the Big Shapes : Alla Prima Portrait Painting

In this workshop you will learn how to capture the most essential qualities of the figure by learning to paint broadly but accurately.
The class will include Aaron’s demonstrations, individual attention and critiques to guide the student to meet their goals.

Zhaoming Wu master workshop
Instructor: Zhaoming Wu
EAC invited master painter Zhaoming Wu to be our first master workshop artist. We are very honored to be able to study with Master Wu. His demo and teaching was so amazing and inspirational! Here are some pictures from the workshop:
Zhaoming Wu was born in China and grew up in Guangzhou City. He received his BFA from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art and later earned his MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Since 1983, he has been exhibiting his work in Asia, Europe, The United States and other countries around the world. He has won a number of awards, including the Merit Award at the 6 th National Art Exhibition in Beijing, the Gustafson Fund Award, The National Oil and Acrylic Painter’s Society Award, 1st Place in the 9th Biennial National Figure Painting and Drawing Exhibition and the Daler-Rowney Award from the Oil painters of America.
He has long been active both as an artist and a teacher. He is currently a painting instructor at the Academy of Art University. His work has been featured in numerous magazines, and a book of his paintings and drawings has been compiled and published.
