Donald has been studying with Larine Chung since June 2011 and has been one of the anchor students here at EAC. He has a delicate yet vibrante art sensibility combining with strong techniques. As he is relocating to California, this show is not only a celebration of his excellent works, also a farewell to a good painter! Hope you have a happy and successful career in art!

Thank you all for coming to EAC annual holiday party and art sale! It was a great turn out! We have each guest awards two stickers to two of their favourites paintings in the show. Guess how many stickers we handed out…. 258! It was such a good feeling to see all the familiar faces and know that we worked hard in 2013 and produced some memorable art pieces.

Our March workshops went well and here comes the follow up workshops!

Workshop Title: Photoshop paint-a-long for traditional artists part 2

Date: April 20th, 2013 (Saturday)

Time and location: 1:00-4:00pm at EAC studio

Instructor: Donald Phan

Cost: $45

Description:  This workshop if the continuation of our March workshop. We will start with demo of digial painting with Photoshop elements and then we will be reviewing the use of  basic editing tools with photo example to illustrate how to effectively touch up photos and change details, etc. We will then go into more advance selection methods and discuss about advance photo editing tools like overlay and working with layers. There will be time for Q&A during each topic and the tools of trade will be discussed if interested.

In this workshop, you have the option of bring your lap-top and follow the instructor’s procedure of editing photo.

 

 

Seats are limited and basic photoshop knowledge would be nice, but not required.

Date: March 23 – 24, 2013

Time and location: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at EAC Studio    

Cost: $170 for the whole 2 days, including model fees.We will work primarily with color painting in all media.
